My Photography
This is the first photo that I remember being really proud of taking.
I remember climbing into the drain,
setting up my tripod-balanced over the stream of water with one of my shoes-and thinking 'This is it. This is the shot.'
And, 30 shots later, it was.

I think life is often like this shot- a weird balancing act that can create a beautiful product, but always takes a bit of tweaking, perseverance, and loss of shoes.

Last year, I came to Seattle because I was accepted to the Human Centered Design and Engineering department at UW.
Seattle was the 5th place my phone had labeled 'home' that year, and, as usual, I had moved to the new city without knowing anyone.
But, I made it a point to get to know my new home.

I rented cars and ventured to ice caves.
I searched out fancy coffee shops and farmers market flowers.

And I discovered fantastic hidden gems in my own neighborhood.
My favorite gem was actually a Fremont neighborhood bar called The Barrel Thief. It's a combination of my three favorite things: people, whiskey, and photography.
In early 2019, I became their social media consultant and photographer, and it has led to a huge personal growth for me. Below are a few of my favorite shots I have taken for them.
